Maddie Holtby

I recently had to say goodbye to my sweet girl Maddie. 

Maddie was placed with me by fate as my foster. She was so scared day one, by day two and from then on, she was my constant shadow and companion.

I knew she was family and was home. 

She gave me so much love and joy for 7 1/2 wonderful years. She did many trips, including many weekends in Toronto, Ottawa, and even a road trip with my mom and I to the east coast of Canada.

She loved her Grammy, Auntie Nancy, uncle Blaine, Landon, her cousins Eva May and Brynny Bryn, and her fur siblings, Cara and Joey. She also met many other people over the years she loved. She wasn’t much for other doggies but had 2 she loved in Toronto, Amadeus and Daisy.

To say my heart hurts and my home feels quiet without her is an understatement. I miss the excitement she greeted me with when I came home, and her snuggling up against me at night. I know you are pain free now and playing with Grammy and that you’ve met my dad.

I’ll never forget you and I’ll always have a special place in my heart for you. I’ll see you again one day baby girl. Love always, mom mom.
