Dexter Giles

2013 - July 14th 2022

We had to say goodbye to our beautiful boy Dexter on July 14 this year. There isn't a day gone by that we haven't missed his playful, sweet, and pesky company. The backyard was so quiet this summer without his constant pestering us to play with his frisbee or a tiny little stick he would find in the bark mulch. In the house he assumed we must be bored if we sat down for long. He always brought us a treasured stuffed toy to play with. He knew if he pestered Don enough he could get his favourite treat, a peanut butter stuffed Kong.

He was a very sweet boy considering the rough start he had as a pup. We adopted him from Helping Paws Rescue. He was surrendered after being severely neglected.

We feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to give him a good and loving home and he returned our love every day. His intense stare went straight to our hearts, but then again, sometimes he just wanted a Kong!

He was, and always will be, our big beautiful, crazy, pesky Dexter and he occupies a special place in our hearts.
